As we begin our Walk Through the Mass, we note that the celebration of the begins before the Mass starts.  Just as any sports team, orchestra performance or even a surgeon gives themselves time before the game, performance or surgery starts, so we also need to make proper preparation.

The walk through the entrance of the church gives us a physical separation from daily life to being in the presence of the heavenly; we recollect our baptismal promises and the cleansing of God’s Mercy.  But there is also the greater act of the body of Christ gathering and bringing all of our prayers and offerings together.
