Knights of Columbus

“Be a Man of God – Be a Knight”

Founded on the need to help Catholic men in supporting their families and parishes, the Knights of Columbus were established in 1882 on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity.  We are first and foremost a service-oriented organization—service of God, family, and community.

Throughout the course of the year we host and assist with numerous events and activities  to strengthening our faith and deepening our relationship with Christ by serving the parish and all those in need.

  • Work days and projects to care for the parish, including lawn care, building classrooms, and assisting with parish remodeling projects
  • Provide greeters and ushers for special events like St. Mary’s Bicentennial Celebration
  • Sponsoring parish days of reflection and speakers on topics of faith
  • Conducting drives to help the disabled, provide coats for disadvantaged children, support single mothers, and many other charitable causes.
  • Cooking meals for the parish and providing beverage service at special events
  • Using our skills and trades to help the parish with repairs.

We seek to be able to say, like St. Paul: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the Faith”?

Parish Workdays

“And the Lord replied, “Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute [the] food allowance at the proper time?

Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds doing so.

Truly, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property.” (Lk 12:42-43)

One of the most needed and involved ways that one can participate and be involved in the parish is through

Care for the Master’s house takes the help of many hands.  Throughout the year we have parish workdays to care for the parish grounds, the buildings and help with many special projects going on.
